This recipe is one I just keep coming back to. That’s how you know it’s good! It actually stemmed from my dietetic internship days, when I was doing my cardiac rehab rotation and trying to teach all these old men how to make ground turkey and chicken breast taste good. It was not an easy task, but this was one of my best attempts and examples of how to make it happen!
The fresh herbs are really the star here. They just give you so much fresh flavor and are not at all boring. And the onions! Key to keeping that burger juicy.
You can wrap this baby up in butter lettuce leaf, as I like to do when I’m having mimosas or sweet potato fries on the side, or serve it on a bun – just make it whole grain!

Serve on a lettuce leaf or whole grain bun and add desired toppings. I like ketchup, yellow mustard, sauteed mushrooms, goat cheese, avocado, etc.
