About Amy

Meet the dietitian making balanced eating the easiest part of your day.

For a lot of people, food starts out simple… and somehow ends up feeling really complicated. What should be nourishing turns into a source of stress, guilt, or patterns that feel hard to break.

Finding my own balance took time. But once I moved away from restriction and toward nourishing meals that actually fueled me, everything changed. I realized that eating well isn't about eating perfectly, it’s about the relief of doing what works.

I’m here to help you trade the "diets-for-days”, complicated morning routines, and supplement cocktails  for something much better: ease, confidence, and balance.

Because at the end of the day, we’re all looking for the same thing: To feel our best, live fully, and finally feel at home in our bodies.

From day-to-day nutrition to creating content that resonates, here are a few ways to work with me:

Build a Brand Partnership

For brands that want credible, creative content that cuts through the wellness noise.

I partner with food & wellness brands to create nutrition content that’s smart, real, and refreshingly creative. I combine registered dietitian expertise with a warm, approachable style to help brands connect with audiences in a way that feels trustworthy, engaging, and easy to understand.

Nourish
Your Life

For the person ready to make balanced eating the easiest part of your day.

I provide real-life nutrition guidance, not restrictive rules, that fit into the life you actually have. Through balanced recipes and grounded support, we’ll turn "eating well" into your new comfort zone.

What to Know About Amy

I’m Amy Davis, RDNβ€”a media dietitian based in New Orleans who believes nutrition should support life, not complicate it.

For years, I chased β€œbalance” while struggling with overeating, body image, and unrealistic expectations around food. What I’ve learned both personally and professionally is that perfection isn’t real, and balance looks different every day.

Today, I blend evidence-based nutrition with a realistic, compassionate approach to help people feel more at ease around food. My work focuses on balanced eating, produce-forward meals, and guidance that feels achievable, even on the busiest days.

You can find me sharing recipes and nutrition insights on Great Day Louisiana and also contributing expert commentary to national outlets, including Real Simple, Delish, The Kitchn, and Martha Stewart. I also connect daily with my community on social media as @thebalanceddietitian.

Some of My Kitchen Secrets…

My 10-min emergency meal is avocado egg toast with some tomatoes and cottage cheese because even dietitians have those β€œuh-oh it’s 7 p.m.” nights.

The one ingredient I’m never without is truffle honey because it’s the easiest way to make simple food feel like an occasion.

The one food rule I’ll always break is having dessert every day! Don’t mess with my dark chocolate!
