It’s getting to be that point in the summer when it’s unbearably hot. Temperatures are steady at 90 degrees, you’re hit with steam as soon as you open the door, and exercising outside is pretty much laughable. Seriously, New Orleans is straight-up sticky right now! That is absolutely why you need this best blueberry basil cocktail recipe.
I always look forward to spring and summer. They’re my favorite parts of the year. The sunshine, carefree vibes, and excitement are abundant! But each year, it always gets to that point when even I start to crave some escape from the heat.
Well, my friends. Here is that escape in a glass! This Best Blueberry Basil Cocktail recipe is the answer to all of your dog days of summer prayers.
I’m not much of a cocktail drinker out. I usually stick to wine. Preferably Pinto Grigio or Rose in the summer. Liking the Sav Blac lately too. Anyways, I typically avoid cocktails because you never know how sweet and sugary they can be. You can always ask for no simple syrup or sweetener if you really want to try a cocktail – bartenders are usually super accommodating!
Every once in a while I’ll crave a cocktail, and feel like doing some experimentation at home! Of course, I love to make margaritas, but sometimes I want something a little different. It’s really not very hard to come up with a cocktail recipe. Here’s a good formula to build a cocktail:
two parts booze + one part sweet + one part sour
Easy, right?! Throw in some fresh fruit and herbs, and you just can’t go wrong.
This recipe is super refreshing, has no added sugar, and is bursting with flavor from those bleubs, basil, and Bayou Berry Bucha.
