Herb-ey Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely minced
  • 1/2 bunch parsley chopped
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs optional
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat or fire up the grill 

  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl 

  3. Form 4 patties out of the mixture

  4. If using a pan, add some olive oil or coconut oil the the pan, then place 2 burgers int the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until you get a nice crust on the outside of the burgers

  5. Serve on a lettuce leaf or whole grain bun and add desired toppings. I like ketchup, yellow mustard, sauteed mushrooms, goat cheese, avocado, etc.
